***Below is a list of frequently asked questions we have compiled together for you.***
***If you have any questions that are not answered for you below, please feel free to e-mail it to us.***

1. DO WE GET OUR HANGERS BACK?

Not really. We will take hangers off during checkout as long as time permits. Any hangers we get will be made available during consignor pick up for consignors to take with them. Each person is able to grab a fair amount of hangers to take with you, for items you will be bringing to the next sale. Please be courteous to the other consignors and don't take more than you will use. Most other consignment sales do not remove items from hangers, and therefore don't offer any hangers back to their consignors. For the time being we are experimenting with taking the hangers off. Please be aware that if it becomes too difficult over time, we will end up sending the hangers with the item home to the shopper.

2. ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED DURING VOLUNTEER SHIFTS?

This depends on the age of the child. We do not provide child care and can not be liable for children getting hurt while helping out at the sale. If you're children are older (above the age of 10) who are interested in helping out, please contact us and let us know the situation.

3. WILL I RECEIVE A TAX RECEIPT FOR THE ITEMS THAT I DONATE?

Yes! We make sure that the organizations we donate to will be able to supply us with tax receipts for the consignors who were generous enough to donate some of their items. This tax receipt will be mailed to you along with your check.

4. WHAT IF I CANNOT MAKE IT TO DROP OFF/PICK UP?

Because we only have access to the space that we rent for a limited amount of time, drop off and pick up times are firm. There are a couple of ways to help those who have scheduling conflicts:

1) Have a family member or friend drop off/pick up your items for you.

2) Find another consignor who can drop off/pick up your items for you.

Please contact us if drop off/pick up is a problem for you. We will be happy to send out an e-mail on your behalf to all of our other consignors, to possibly put you in contact with someone who lives near you and is willing to help you out.

***Please note: any items that are not picked up by the end of pick up time will be donated. NO EXCEPTIONS!***

5. DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS?

No. At this time, we will only be accepting cash as payment at our sale. However, there is an ATM machine at the location.

6. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY A CONSIGNOR FEE?

Your $10.00 consignor fee goes toward facility rental, advertising, supplies, and other costs associated with conducting this sale. After researching consignment sales across the nation, we found that consignor fees range from $7.00 to $15.00. We choose to stay on the lower end of the range at $10.00.

7. WHAT IF I DON'T SELL ENOUGH TO COVER THE $10 CONSIGNOR FEE?

No worries! Your consignor fee will not be deducted from your check unless your check total is AT LEAST $40. If your total is less than $40, then your consignor fee will be waived for that sale.

8. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO RECEIVE MY CHECK AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET IT?

You do nothing other than to make sure the address you provided us when you signed up as a consignor is correct. We will pay the postage for your check to be sent to you. Checks will be sent out within two weeks of the sale ending. We strive to get them calculated, cut, and mailed as quickly as possible.

9. HOW IS TRENDY TYKES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CONSIGNMENT SALES?

Trendy Tykes is locally owned and operated. We are not a franchise and do not answer to a corporate office. We haven't lost sight of the fact that we are here to help local families by setting up a place where parents in need of items can buy high quality items at a discounted price, or sell their no longer needed items for money. We offer incentives that allow our consignors to earn considerably more than at other sales. We offer greater incentives to our volunteers than at other sales, and we recognize repeat volunteers. With each sale we also pick an organization in need, and donate items at the end of that sale.
