TAGGING YOUR ITEMS

 

You will need the following to begin: 3X5 index cards to write your tags, safety pins OR a tagging gun to attach the tags to your clothes, packing tape to attach tags to toys or any bagged items, and Ziploc bags (the gallon size usually works best for items that can't be hung or for pieces to toys).

Holding your index card vertically, draw a line approximately 1.5 in. from the top of your card. Write your consignor number on the left about a 1/2" below the line. If you do NOT want your item to be sold at HALF PRICE on the last day of the sale, put a RED STAR just under the line on the right side. Write your item description (brand, color, brief description of what it is) in the center of the card. Put the size of the item on the lower left side of the card. Put your price on the lower right side (remember it must be AT LEAST $2 and must be in $.50 increments) of the card. If you want to have the item donated after the sale (if it doesn't sell), write the letter "D" under your price.

Holding each item up and looking directly at the front, attach your tag using a safety pin (no straight pins) OR tagging gun, to the right side of the item. Please see the examples below of how to place your tags.  Securely tape your tag to any items that are not on hangers or cannot be pinned. A piece of packing tape across the top of your tag (above the cutting line) should be plenty enough to secure it.  Please steer clear of putting tape at the bottom of the index card as it only makes it more difficult to get off at check out, as well as standing a higher chance of getting ripped in the process.  We are not responsible for tags that fall off.

DROP OFF

Please have your clothing separated by gender and size before dropping them off.

Drop off for our upcoming sale will be:

Please allow 15-20 minutes at drop off to sign your consignor agreement, go over any questions you may have, etc. You will pick up your CONSIGNOR PRE-SALE pass at this time as well.

We will not make you wait as we inspect each of your items for quality, however, these items will be looked over as they are going on the racks. Anything that is not in good enough condition for the sale, will be placed to the side for you to pick up at the end of the sale.

Also, be sure to have your larger items (cribs, changing tables, high chairs, etc) already put together before dropping them off or bring someone (if you can't do it yourself) that can put them together at the sale for you.  All items like this need to be put together so customers can see that the item functions and has all of it parts.

ITEMS

 

It is important that we only offer gently used, HIGH QUALITY items. Therefore, bring only your very best items.

This sale is for Fall & Winter clothing - kid's size birth to juniors. Maternity clothing can be for any season as long as it is less than 5 years old. We accept all types of baby gear (high chairs, bouncy seats, strollers, play pens, play gyms, swings, etc), toys, books, games, outdoor play equipment, children's furniture... anything that babies, kids, and new moms can use! Clothing must be in great condition, and remember to only bring things that you yourself would buy. There must be no stains, tears, missing buttons, or extreme fading in the clothing.

All CLOTHING should reflect the current fashion. Outdated items do NOT sell. This is extremely important for Junior and Maternity clothing.

Take the time to trim loose threads, sew loose hems, replace buttons, and clean items thoroughly. We do not require that you iron all clothing, but it is to your best advantage to make sure that nothing is extremely wrinkled. Wrinkled items do NOT sell.

TOYS must be VERY clean and in working condition. Any items requiring batteries must have them installed so that shoppers can see that the item works. (You can pick up cheap batteries at your local dollar store). GAMES AND PUZZLES must be in good condition with all of their pieces and parts. Cribs, car seats, and other baby items/gear must meet current safety standards. Larger items (such as cribs, high chairs, etc) should be put together so that shoppers can see how they will look and know that all of the parts are there. The exception to this is any items new in the box/package.

Any consignor selling a car seat will be required to sign a waiver stating that the car seat has not been recalled, in an accident, and that there are no other previous owners.

 

Preparation of items to sell

 

Clothing must be on a hanger with the hook of the hanger pointing to the left as you face the item. Pants must be safety pinned to the hanger at the waist and cannot be folded and hung through the hanger. Tags must be safety pinned to the top right of the item as you face it. For infant or toddler clothing, please use child size hangers. Wire hangers are generally FREE through your local dry cleaner, and you can also purchase a pack of 10 plastic hangers at your local department store for $1.00. Do not plan on receiving your hangers back. Though we will try to have all the hangers made available at the end of the sale, if it is busy at checkout, we may be sending some hangers home with the customer.  For loose items, please use NEW Ziploc type bags in the closest size for your needs. Secure your tag to the item with clear packing tape. Make sure you tape and pin your tags securely, as we are not responsible for lost tags, and it is virtually impossible to put a tag less item with its rightful owner.

Your items will not sell if they do not catch the shoppers eyes, so it is in your best interest to have your items looking as presentable as possible.

This is not a yard sale, so there are many items that will not have a place at our sale. Clothing in worn or poor condition will not be sold. Please do not spend your valuable time tagging items that you think may be rejected. If it's up in the air on it's condition, and you're uncertain if it would be accepted, just assume it wouldn't be.

SHOES

 

Shoes must be securely fastened together, either by the shoe laces or using a string.

$2.00 MINIMUM

 

All items being sold, must be sold at a minimum of $2.00. If you have an item that you don't think is worth that amount, try grouping items together and sell it as a "lot" or "set" to decrease the number of tags you have to make. Example: if you have five onesies that you want to sell for $1.00 a piece, try selling them all together for $5.00.

SETS

 

Be sure to hang clothing sets together and in such a way that the shopper will see all of the pieces and how they look together.
